WATCH VIDEO: Here’s a virtual tour of
the Pyarco store at Parco Shibuya in Tokyo; it’s a great place to
discover emerging Japanese fashion labels and the decor is pretty
stunning too
TOKYO - The Parco Shibuya department store in Tokyo, Japan, is known for its great range of Japanese fashion and accessories labels including limiFEU – the label from the daughter of Yohji Yamamoto – and a complete line-up of the various Comme des Garçons labels as well as lesser known but established Japanese fashion brands like Frapbois, fur fur, Gomme & Mercibeaucoup.
On the fourth floor is new in-store shop Pyarco which carries emerging Japanese fashion brands like Anrealage and mintdesigns as well as some interesting accessories and odd little style gadgets. Pyarco is well-worth checking out as an introduction to the next-big-thing in Tokyo style.
The store itself has an amazing lighting set-up which changes colour randomly and there’s a huge video screen at the entrance; the decor is worth checking out on its own.
