French ballet shoe brand Repetto launches an official retail space in Singapore
Women
really owe much to screen siren Brigitte Bardot for taking ballet
slippers from the studio to the sidewalks. If not for her request in
1956 to ballet slipper maker extraordinaire Rose Repetto to create
ballet-style shoes for everyday wear, we might never have discovered the
comfort and ease of ballet flats.
Repetto’s very first identity Soft Corner in Southeast Asia has finally opened in Singapore, and will carry the brand’s Spring Summer 2013 collection of ballet flats, dancing shoes and bags.
A pair of Repetto ballet flats may not come cheap – prices begin from around $299 – but if you’re going to be wearing them all the time, we think the cash will definitely be well-spent.
Repetto is located at Level 1 of Takashimaya Department Store.

French dance shoe brand Repetto has since
grown into a world-renowned brand, with fans of the brand still
clamouring for its classic, simple designs in a spectrum of colours that
they can wear everywhere and do (almost) anything in.
The
reason behind its phenomenal success lies in its manufacturing process
called the “le cousu retournĂ©” or the stitch and return process, where
the sole is sewn inside out before it is turned back in, giving it an
almost seamless connection between the sole and the leather upper,
making it remarkably comfortable to wear. Repetto’s very first identity Soft Corner in Southeast Asia has finally opened in Singapore, and will carry the brand’s Spring Summer 2013 collection of ballet flats, dancing shoes and bags.
