Petit Bateau x Carven collection hits stores

The collaboration between these two well-loved French brands is now available in Singapore stores

For lovers of French style, there was nothing more exciting than the news that two of our favourite French brands, Carven and Petit Bateau, who share so much in common and are both favourites of style icon Alexa Chung, have unveiled their first co-collection.
Both brands channel the French ingénue spirit superbly; Guillaume Henry with his shrunken knits, oversized capes and white collared blousons at Carven, and Petit Bateau with its classic style staples like striped t-shirts and cozy sweaters.

The genius of the collaboration is in the clever twists added to update old favourites. Red and navy cotton dresses and tops with a crisp white Peter Pan collar comes fully smocked, and a navy side-slit tunic dress with contrasting trim is surprisingly quilted. And what looks like a typical striped polo t-shirt is in fact a bodysuit – we’ve certainly not seen this elsewhere before.

The cutest thing in the collection has to be the removable collars that come in three colours – grey, pink and blue. They are such a fun way to prep up any piece in your wardrobe.
With that said, fans of Alexa Chung’s French ingénue style will not want to miss this collaboration for the world.
The Petit Bateau x Carven collection is now available at the Petit Bateau store in Paragon Shopping Centre. Prices begin at $130 and go up to $590.
